Terms of Service

By accessing or using Minify Cloud (“the Service”) at codexlune.app(or any associated domain), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

The Service is operated by CodexLune (“we”, “our”, or “the Company”). These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Service.

Minify Cloud provides browser-based and server-side tools for processing image files (JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, and more) and PDF documents. The Service includes but is not limited to:

• Image compression, conversion, resizing, cropping, and enhancement
• AI-powered background removal, upscaling, and OCR (runs entirely in your browser)
• PDF merging, splitting, compressing, signing, rotating, watermarking
• PDF conversion to and from other formats
• PDF security — password protection and unlocking

The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Service at any time without notice.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree that you will not:

• Upload files that you do not own or do not have explicit permission to process
• Upload files containing illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), illegal weapons instructions, or content promoting terrorism
• Upload files containing malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious code
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to make excessive requests to the Service
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, file size restrictions, or other technical controls
• Use the Service to process files on behalf of others in a commercial reselling capacity without our prior written consent
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations

You must not upload or process through the Service any content that:

• Is defamatory, obscene, or pornographic (unless the platform is lawfully accessed in a permitted jurisdiction)
• Infringes any intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademarks, or patents
• Contains personal data of third parties without their consent
• Is subject to confidentiality obligations that prohibit its processing by third-party services
• Constitutes spam, phishing materials, or fraudulent content

Your Content

You retain full ownership and all intellectual property rights in any files you upload to the Service. By uploading a file, you grant CodexLune a limited, non-exclusive, temporary licence to process the file solely for the purpose of providing the requested service. This licence expires upon deletion of the file (within 1 hour).

We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any purpose other than processing the operation you requested.

Our Content

The Service, including its design, code, brand, logo, and documentation, is the intellectual property of CodexLune and is protected by copyright and trademark law. “CodexLune” and “Minify Cloud” are trademarks of CodexLune. You may not use our trademarks or brand assets without prior written permission.

The Service uses open-source libraries including Sharp, pdf-lib, Tesseract.js, and pdfjs-dist. These libraries are subject to their respective licences.

Service Provided “As Is”

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Results of processing will be accurate, complete, or meet your expectations
• Files will always be recoverable or accessible during the 1-hour window

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CodexLune shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

• Loss of data or files
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Business interruption
• Any damage arising from your use of or inability to use the Service

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed $0 (zero dollars), as the Service is provided free of charge.

When you upload a file to the Service for server-side processing:

• The file is transmitted securely over HTTPS to Cloudflare R2 storage
• The file is processed by our server-side functions to generate an output file
• A signed URL is generated for you to download the processed file
• Both the input and output files are automatically deleted after 1 hour

For browser-side AI tools (background removal, OCR, upscaling), your file is processed entirely within your browser using WebAssembly technology. These files are never transmitted to our servers.

You are responsible for ensuring that any file you upload complies with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR if applicable to you) before submitting it to a third-party service such as this one.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

For significant changes, we may provide additional notice on our website or via other means we deem appropriate.
