Your Privacy Matters

Minify Cloud (“we”, “our”, or “the Service”) is operated by CodexLune, a software development company. Your privacy is fundamental to how we build our products.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to your data when you use our website at codexlune.app (and related subdomains). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

Files You Upload

When you use server-side tools (PDF compression, merging, splitting, conversion, etc.), your file is uploaded to our secure cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). We collect:

• The file content itself (for processing only)
• File name (used to name the output file)
• File size (for logging purposes)

Browser-side (AI) tools — background removal, image OCR, AI upscaling, and PDF OCR — process your files entirely within your browser using WebAssembly. These files are never sent to our servers.

Usage Data

We collect standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used solely for security monitoring and aggregate analytics (e.g. which tools are most used). We do not track individual users across sessions.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal session cookies required for the website to function. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that profile you. No personal data is stored in localStorage or sessionStorage beyond tool preferences you set (e.g., last selected language in OCR).

Files are stored in Cloudflare R2 (cloud object storage) only for as long as needed to:

• Process the requested operation
• Generate a secure, temporary signed download URL
• Allow you to download the processed result

The signed download URL itself also expires after 1 hour. After deletion, files cannot be recovered even upon request.

We do not create backups of user-uploaded files, and we do not retain processed output files beyond the 1-hour window.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the file processing service
• Generate your processed output file and make it available for download
• Monitor for abuse, security threats, and malicious uploads
• Improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns
• Debug technical issues and investigate errors

We do not use your files or data to:

• Train machine learning models
• Serve targeted advertisements
• Build user profiles or track behaviour across sessions
• Share with or sell to third parties for marketing purposes

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers only as necessary to operate the Service:

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of CodexLune, our users, or the public.

We take security seriously and implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data:

• All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Files are stored in Cloudflare R2 using server-side encryption at rest
• Download URLs are cryptographically signed and expire after 1 hour
• We scan uploaded files for malicious content before processing
• Access to production systems is restricted and access-controlled

While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you not to upload files containing sensitive personal data (passports, bank details, medical records) that you would not want to expose even temporarily to a cloud service.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Right to access — Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
• Right to deletion — Request deletion of your data (files are already auto-deleted after 1 hour)
• Right to object — Object to certain processing activities
• Right to portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format
